Hi, I'm Luz Gonzalez. My pronouns are they/them. I am a Master of Science in Information Studies student at the University of Texas at Austin, set to graduate in the spring of 2027. 
My studies are focused in archiving & preservation, digital archiving, legacy media, digitization, and digital humanities. I am passionate about the preservation of cultural and collective memory, and excited about leveraging emerging technologies to expand access and discovery. Currently I am curious about programming, game design, and data science. I am interested in where these fields can intersect to create engaging and participatory encounters with cultural heritage and scholarship.
Previously, I earned my Bachelor's at the Moody College of Communication in Radio-Television-Film. I worked for over ten years as an independent filmmaker, cinematographer, producer and video editor.
